Evolis receives accolade from France's Prime Minister for its boldness and creativity.

Angers, September the 11th, 2008. Prime Minister François Fillon presented today the Prix de l'Audace Créatrice 2008 to the founders of Evolis at the Hôtel Matignon (official residence of the PM), in the presence of many French corporate leaders.

The Prix de l'Audace Créatrice is awarded each year by a jury of businessmen from the largest French companies. The Prize rewards a public company which has showed strong dynamism and managed to increase altogether its revenues, profitability and workforce.

When presenting the prize, Mr. Francois Fillon paid tribute Evolis for its growth, capacity to innovate, international influence and employment creation. "This distinction is a reward for all Evolis staff, whose efforts have enabled us, in eight years, to become a global player in the industry", said Emmanuel Picot, cofounder and Chief Executive Officier, Evolis.

In eight years, Evolis' revenues grew relentlessly to reach 36 million euros at the end of 2007. Today, 92% of the business comes from more than 90 countries around the world. In order to strengthen its presence on dynamic markets, Evolis opened a subsidiary in Miami in 2005, another in Singapore in 2006 and more recently, a representative office in Tokyo. With more than 140 staff, Evolis has seen a regular increase in its workforce.

The number of Evolis printers deployed throughout the world has doubled in less than two years. September 2008 is another major milestone: Evolis will roll out its 100,000th printer!

Pro-Active Crazy Writer, a universal RFID encoder for Pebble and Dualys

Close partnership between Evolis and Pro-Active has resulted in a new encoder for contactless cards for Pebble and Dualys printers. The new encoder is even more versatile and caters to multiple RFID application requirements: Access Control, Security, Biometry, Transportation cards, or even Student IDs.

Crazy Writer is compliant with the most common standards and tags, and features an USB port that simply connects to the printer’s internal hub. This encoder therefore stands as a fast and simple solution, scaled for the most advanced applications.
A Calypso version is also available for use in public transport applications.
Availability of these versions is scheduled for end of September 2008.
